We don't care if we waited an hour to sit. It's my our fault for showing up at this no-reservation Chelsea spot at noon on a Saturday, expecting to be the only one who wanted huevos rancheros (buttermilk biscuits AND tortillas, thank you) and shiitake hash. Worth every minute. The secret to Spoon, though, is to arrive late (2 p.m. is perfect) and linger long enough for them to start handing out the morning's pastries, like a bonus brunch for those who slept in.
