Nests of the Sociable Weaver Bird (Philetairus socius) at Witsand Nature Reserve in South Africa - photo by Warwick Tarboton; Sociable (or Social) Weavers build large compound community nests, a rarity among birds. They can look like haystacks hanging in a tree and are large enough to house over a hundred pairs of birds at a time. The permanent nests are highly structured with central chambers and outer rooms that maintain comfortable temperatures for the birds. - info from Wikipedia
