The Step Forward series offers multilevel English instruction that covers reading, writing, listening, and speaking.  This standards-based series emphasizes the language skills needed to be successful at work, at home, and in the community.  Need:  1 copy of each student book, workbook, lesson plans book in the series.,  Plus one copy of the Professional Development Handbook for our Community Literacy Resource Center.

This instructional material will help any English teacher smoothly transition from reading to writing in an organic and Core-aligned fashion. Essentially, students examine the context of important quotes from the selected piece of literature and then use the quotes as the starting points for thoughtful essays. By connecting the quote to today’s world in an essay, students will understand the relevance of the literature to their own lives.

This instructional material will help any English teacher smoothly transition from reading to writing in an organic and Core-aligned fashion.
