Cosimo Rosselli (1440-1507) | Madonna and Child with Angels, tempera and gold on wood, 85.1×58.4cm. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC. The picture seems to have been painted about 1480–82, under the strong influence of Verrocchio, and is almost perfectly preserved. It is roughly contemporary with Rosselli's frescoes in the Sistine Chapel, Rome, where he worked alongside Perugino, Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, and Signorelli.
