Page from a children's memory book written in Terezin with a picture of a lightning bolt coming down into a walled city. The book was presented as a gift to Misa Grunbaum. The translation of the poem reads "Further and further, always further; The battle for life pierces the armor; Don't worry about thunder; To accept blows and not give in; Continuously come closer and closer." It is signed Petr Ganz.
Male, Age 6, Kieron Williamson. "Cornish Fishing Boat, Lighthouse, & Gulls" Acrylic 2008. Though the seagulls are not the primary subject of the painting, it was impossible to ignore this work. The seagulls in the foreground are nicely detailed and stand out from the rich, warm colors in the sky. Kieron captures the movement of the gulls as they drift through the sky. With countless examples on his website, Kieron is keenly aware of his use of light, color, and scale.
