Governor Martin O’Malley, joined by Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown, Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr. and House Speaker Michael E. Busch, signed the Civil Marriage Protection Act of 2012 into law.  With the passage of this historic bill, Maryland now becomes the eighth state in the nation to legalize same-sex civil marriage.
