A rare and stylish leather cigar humidor by Paul Dupré Lafon (1900 - 1971) for Hermès, the wooden base section and top entirely covered in handstitched leather, the interior in Spanish cedar complete with new/modern hygrometer and humidifier fitted, signed HERMES PARIS to the underside.

The entire piece sits on a metal flange plate. The box opens with three cedar carved facades drawers " cigarettes / cigarettes / cigars ." Unsigned. 9 x 29 x 12.5 cm Sold Paris January 2010 (still in the Great Recession) for 20 000 € (almost $30,000 at the time)
A sapphire and diamond box of rectangular form, the lid inset with a clear plaque set with square- and trilliant-cut sapphires within a frame of rose-cut diamonds, to an engine turned ground.French assay and makers mark.
A Sterling silver cigar box of massive proportions, the facetted lid with shagreen panels and three silver faux ‘cigars’, with (unusually) the shagreen panelling covering all four sides of the box. The interior cedar-lined with two dividers, the lid to the interior lemon gilded.
