Katrina648's art on ArtsoniaSecond graders learned about rain forest tree dart frogs. We learned that the Amazon rain forest covers much of South America and contains millions of plant and animal species. The poison dart frog has very brilliant colors and warns predators to stay away. The sweat from one frog is enough to coat 50 darts for native people to hunt with...wow! For our lesson, we traced a frog template and cut it out.
The kids measured each other and cut the stems to match their height, traced hands for leaves and petals,paper plate for flower sprinkled with sunflower seeds around their sweet faces . Then they labeled each part of the flower. CCSS6
