Beyond the breezeway, the spaces become markedly partisan - masculine and feminine.  There’s more to the two wings than just different design preferences, however.  The ‘masculine’ wing is clad in corrugated iron with eaves overhanging to provide shelter at the home’s entrance.  “This is a reference to a modern interpretation of a meeting house,” says Hodgskin. “It wasn’t in the brief but responds to the majesty of the landscape– a double-height covered area that you arrive at.”
