Henry's Restaurant & Drive-In, part of the Carpenter's chain, began to exhibit the more accomodating round shape in part of its design. Some drive-ins did feature a dining room for those patrons who preferred not to eat in their car.
Douglasville / Lithia Springs ~ Georgia Historic Resource #: DO-228 Opened in October of 1952, the Lithia Springs Drive-In Theater was a hit for teenagers during the roaring 1950s. Operator of the drive-in was K.B. Fincher from the 1950s to the 1980s when the theater closed. Today trees cover the parking lot and the neon sign is barely visible.
