Villa Dirickz: A Modern Castle in Brussels The Villa Dirickz is located in Sint-Genesius-Rode, a city on the periphery of Brussels, Belgium. The Villa was built by famous Belgian Architect Marcel Leborgne, a pioneer of contemporary architecture and one of the founders of Modernism in Belgium. The four-story villa with 10,700 square-foot of floor space sits on a 5 acres lot, has 4,300 square feet of terrace. The construction started in 1929 and the building was completed in 1933.
