This is an available remainder note, but scarcer as an uncut sheet of four. In handsome 1850s style by Bald, Cousland & Co. with three orange counters on each. All four show a large wharf scene with men unloading lumber at lower left and a woman holding a dove at lower right. This sheet has broad margins and sharp color.

Part of an interesting and popular high-denomination series. Like the other Third Bank notes, this was engraved and printed by Draper, Toppan, Longacre & Company using a taller format than lesser denomination demand notes from the bank.
