From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg (Realistic Fiction, Newberry Award) A very fun book about a brother & sister running away from home to live in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. While there they solve a mystery, stop a crime, and figure out how to take care of themselves. This would be an awesome book to get students excited about creative writing. What they would do if they ran away or where would they go? Who would they take with them?
