I saw this wonderful idea in pInterest. It caught my attention as a nice straightforward, stand alone solution to behavior management. I am very interested to know how you would use this in class. It looks a great idea, but I would like some input from someone who has used this successfully or indeed unsuccessfully.
"Filling 'buckets' in my classroom has transformed it into such a positive and kind atmosphere and these compliment starters have made such a difference! They give students direction on what to write so giving compliments is easy yet still fulfilling. Changing them up every month is helpful to keep student filling buckets all year long. "
Each child will have a bucket with his/her name on it and we will fill the buckets with pompoms. Every day at group time we will find out who was a bucket filler that day. Bucket fillers will get a pompom to place in their bucket. This is a purely positive activity and pompoms will not be removed for negative behavior. When a student fills his or her bucket, the pom-poms are removed and a sticker is added to the bucket to show that it has been filled up one time.
