Alice's Adventures in Wonderland/Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll. My cousin Megan gave me this book as a present when I was... maybe 9? Has been a personal favorite ever since. Also, love the artist.
I am reading this book right now in school in a small group! I have one more chapter to go and can't wait to finish, but at the same time I don't want it to end. I love all of the characters they are all so special and unique in their own different ways!
DONE. It is Nazi Germany. Liesel Meminger is a foster girl who, with the help of her accordion-playing foster father, learns to read and shares her stolen books with her neighbors during bombing raids as well as with the Jewish man hidden in her basement.
