The people sank their churches into solid rock, like this one, so they were invisible from even a very short distance away. The church is carved from solid rock: not built, CARVED OUT.
The Greater Manchester Police Big Band playing at Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy’s annual charity ball at Manchester’s Midland Hotel. This year’s event raised funds for local charity Retrak, which helps children living on the streets of some of Africa’s poorest countries.
