April 2 1931 A history making exhibition game w/ the NY Yankees & minor league Chattanooga Lookouts. The game included Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & relief pitcher 17 yr old Jackie Mitchell the 1st woman pro baseball player. Scheduled for April Fools, but delayed due to rain it was a real shock when she struck both Ruth & Gehrig out or was it. The authenticity in question she was still forever labeled as "the girl who struck out Babe Ruth". Jackie maintained it was true via inhistoric.com.
