The lobby of the Pantone Hotel, with its interior designed by Michel Penneman, has simplified forms, clean lines, and is considerably brighter than the lobby of the other hotel. I believe this design was chosen because Pantone as a company focuses on very simple designs, allowing for color to be the main focus. In each room of the hotel the main focal points are the color blocking and an ornate design would have taken away from Pantone's main purpose.
