A BRASS EWER  NORTH INDIA OR DECCAN, 16TH/17TH CENTURY  Rising from trumpet foot with openwork lozenge lattice through rounded melon-fluted body and vertical neck with two pronounced bosses to slightly everted rim, scrolling handle with animal head terminal and remains of hinge for the now lacking lid and S-shaped spout with pronounced finial, minor bands of engraved palmette or geometric design, foot restored, handle repaired 14in. (37.6cm.) high
