My husband is a naval architect.  He maintains quite a few boats here on Nantucket, including many of the Alerions which were first built by Sanford Boat.... Here's a story about one of the island's 20-Century boat builders, Cliff Mazerolle.

The Herring River winds through a beautiful field of marsh grasses. Bells Neck is absolutely stunning and views are not obstructed through manmade structures. The location is easily accessible by car and off Route 28. The road turns into a dirt road and the vista in this picture is from the auto bridge.
