I'm a Teochew nia, a pure one, from the biological line of both paternal & maternal parents. My great grandparents and grandparents were immigrants from Swatow, Fujian, China. After much publicity given to peranakan cuisines ( thanks to the MediaCorp Chinese drama - 小娘惹), Teochew cultures & cuisines hit the limelight with the current Teochew Art Festival/ Exhibition held at Takashimaya. Here's my Teochew steamed promfet, much awed by many non-Teochews as well. Do you like this dish too?
