Benjamin Buttons-esque: He grows from old to young, but that's where the comparison ends. FantAStcially-written, just so unique and moving and creative. Wonderful. I actually listened to this... about 20 times (no joke). If you have the means, I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorite out-loud books ever. And I listen to a lot of books.

WWII era novel told from inside Japan with some parts of the story told from the US. Fewer books about this time period look at WWII from inside Japan. The story line jumps decades and continents making the storyline confusing at times, but overall well worth the read.
