1980s Beaded Jumpsuit with Belt / Medium Women / Vintage 80s 90s Black Formal Cocktail Romper / Carteret Wrap Top Embellished Crepe Pantsuit

VINTAGE BEADED JUMPSUIT This two piece set from the 1980s is a showstopper! JUMPSUIT * Lightweight, black fabric with a crepe texture is most likely a synthetic fiber * Wrap type v-neckline with two snaps and metal hook/thread eye closures * Interesting bib-like flaps go all the way around the front and back of the bodice creating a strong, dramatic shoulder * Bib section and v-neck are outlined in black beads too * Long sleeves * Pockets at front hip side seams * Three pleats at either side of front hips/waist area and two darts at back hips create some shape * Short black plastic zipper at front crotch * Elastic in the back waistline * Straight legs that slightly taper at the ankles * Black fabric hanger loops inside at side seams * Labels: Carteret New York (another label cut out next to this one) * Unlined BELT * Wide width * Diagonal edge on one end has half of two snaps and the other end is flat with four more snaps to adjust the waist * Triangular black beaded section in the center * Front of the belt is the same black fabric as the jumpsuit * Back side is black vinyl and stamped with the numbers 11 and 330 (could possibly be the size and style number but not sure) Please note- the waistline of this jumpsuit has been pinned in the back for photos (can see the silver clip in some of them) to better show the shape of the garment. The approximate size is Medium, but please pay attention to these measurements, taken laying flat and buttoned/zipped up: JUMPSUIT Bust (doubled): 36" Waist (doubled): 25"-30" Hips (doubled): 37"-42" Shoulder to shoulder: 15" Sleeve length: 21.5" Front rise: 12" Inseam: 28" Total length from shoulder to hem: 55" BELT Total dimensions: 36.5" long x 2" wide Snaps can be snapped between 30"-33.5" This garment is in very good vintage condition, meaning it has one or more noted minor flaws that are easily reparable or already repaired, but it is still wearable as purchased. These flaws include, but may not be limited to: JUMPSUIT * Small section of fabric around the left arm elbow is textured differently and looks like maybe it was stretched out or pressed weirdly at some point- might be fixed with further care but can't guarantee it * Small pin-prick hole at center back right next to the seam- this might need to be fixed in the future so it doesn't get bigger with wear since it's right on the bum * Two natural slubs in the fabric along the back bodice too- totally normal but figured I'd mention it BELT * Looks like it's missing about 8 black beads from the outer edges of the triangle and the rest might need to be reinforced eventually. * Small 1/4" flaw in the fabric on the back side of the belt on top of the snaps (almost like a hole in the top layer of fabric) This jumpsuit has been professionally dry cleaned and stored in a cedar closet since then.
