The Chinese Lantern September 27, 2013 to January 05, 2014 Open 7 days a week Fair Park Dallas -Festival returns to the State Fair of Texas. Twenty-four spectacular displays will include a pagoda composed of 68,000 pieces of porcelain dishware - plates, bowls, spoons, and cups - all hand-tied using traditional techniques.
If you missed it the first time, not to worry! The Chinese Lantern Festival is set to ignite the lagoon in Dallas’ Fair Park again this year. The festival gates will open on September 27 and coincides with the opening of the State Fair of Texas.
W. J. Thomas Splash Park, 1955 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, TX 75006, Hours Open daily 9 am to 8 pm, while temperatures remain above 80 degrees. There is no charge or fee to use this facility. New restrooms and shade structures were installed in 2012. This beautiful site features mature shade trees, wooden deck with picnic tables, plenty of parking, rolling green lawns and a playground nestled in a quiet neighborhood. New features include spray equipment and new shade structures.
