Marie Claire Seasonal Kitchen: The Ultimate Recipe Collection. The thing that I like most about this book is its lack of preachiness. This book isnt about locavores and their ramps or 100mile diets, it's about what you crave during each season, drawing from a myriad of cultures. This book is really about the way we eat today- global, local, complex, simple, alone and with friends. The authors of this book just *get it*

"Savoy Cabbage & Parmesan Skin Soup" from "Plenty" by Yotam Ottonlenghi. Made Feb 2012. Verdict "good" by The Frenchman, Easy, great way to use cabbage, no funky ingredients, everything in house. Nothing mind blowing - just a reliable, satisfying make-again recipe. Looks pretty w/ the topping too.
