Day 6: My Unique... What makes my work unique. I find this question difficult. I love my work I find it difficult to step away from it intellectually. All of my work inherently bears my signature. It's something I don't want to write on to a tag or into a line item. The work all of it needs to be me. It passed the Keiley test. My hope is that you can see that in the work across platforms across disciplines. My work is unique because it's my own and it's not an imitation of another thing…

Poppies by Michelle Mischkulnig (Chelle Textiles, Australia) "My work is an expression of my life, my life full of happiness, joy, a beautiful family, good friends and laughter. My inspiration comes from warm winter sun, the sound of the ocean, darting dragonflies, places I have been, family holidays, first spring gardens and everyday life" - [someone else's caption]
Carol Kroll, "My work literally and figuratively begins as a seed. I combine my passion for art and love of gardening by growing gourds and using them as my eco friendly and sustainable art medium. A background in textile design influences my work with gourds. As a textile designer, I discovered that many of the patterns I used for fabric design were fashioned after the fractal patterns repeated throughout nature. This continues to inspire my work."
