I discovered this book down an Amazon bookstore rabbit hole and was instantly intrigued by the cover blurb: the greatest novel you've never read. Huh. At 4 am yesterday when I finally finished it from cover to cover and came out for breath completely shattered in its wake I understood what that reviewer meant. Quickly though: this is the story of a man named William Stoner (not as you might think a novel about a pot smoker) and his unremarkable quiet life as a professor as a husband and as a…

If you were suddenly transported into your current read where would you be? Taking today to get some more work done and hopefully dive into my novel. Moving slow but steady and liking how things are going so far! It's come to the point that I have to hide books I've already read to make more shelf space for new books. Who else is all out of shelf space? #Bookishscavengerhunt16 Day 9: Cover with a city

Today has been a full, busy day... and I love it. I added some new words to The Wraith: Sanderson of Metro novel, did final edits on a new book that will be out within a week or so, got to see the cover for said book, wrote blurbs, cover copy, worked on Patreon things, participated in one of my publisher's chats, and more. Like I said, a good, full day at the ol' writing desk. Now, I'm beat so I think it's time to call it a night.

Taken from the Good Reads website, this shows the front cover for Raiinbow Rowell's novel Attachments. I like the handdrawn quality of the type. In particular, I love how the split of the word "Attachments" into two words that are precariously held together by a paper clip suggests that the attachments the book describes are quite fragile. #bookcoverdesign

A 6 year old judges books by their covers. Fifty Shades of Grey: "On the cover is a very weird looking zebra. The book is about a zebra that wears pants. It's a drama book about this zebra guy who likes to go fishing for aces." Now THAT'S a book I would read.

Entertaining and enlightening Philip K. Dick novel. "I mean, after all; you have to consider we're only made out of dust. That's admittedly not much to go on and we shouldn't forget that. But even considering, I mean it's a sort of bad beginning, we're not doing too bad. So I personally have faith that even in this lousy situation we're faced with we can make it. You get me?"
