Sensory! Fine Motor! Math! Science! Social Studies! We used sand paper instead of foam, and let the students choose their shape after naming each. Discussed what animals collected acorns and the regions the acorns grow. Bam!

Acorn covered with oats and chocolate cereal Did this project with my two year olds in the Fall. We're not allowed to use food on for art projects at my school though, so we ended up using leaves, sticks, acorns and sand from outside instead. The kids had a great time doing them and they actually looked very cute when we were done.
