This is hammered into you in art school and in almost every online tutorial. Well, guess what? IT'S TRUE! Shocking, I KNOW! The best way to practice is by using a limited palette, playing with color mixes, learning about pigments and just PAINTING. LOOSE CARDS KIT In this little kit, you have charts already printed out for you using water-resistant pigment ink on Fabriano Studio hot press watercolor paper (140 gsm/300 lb). It even has blank cards made from Fabriano Studio cold press watercolor paper for you to do quick sketch or doodles to practice along your way. I wrote instructions on how to get the most out of every piece of your kit based on my own knowledge, research and experience. You get a total of 24 cards (12 of each type of paper). You should be able to paint on both sides of all of the cards (including the Swatch Cards) since you will probably not be using tons of water. Fabriano is an excellent paper for practice and even for regular use. It is my second fave after Arches (which I use to make my best-selling sketchbooks).
