Lucille Ball. Who doesnt love Lucy? But many may not know that the doyenne of comedy lived with the pain of rheumatoid arthritis from the time she was a teenager. She was 17 when she was diagnosed. Known for her blazing red hair and slapstick performances, the star of I Love Lucy, the landmark TV show of the 1950s, was one of the original celebrity supporters of the National Arthritis Foundation. Lucille Ball died of heart failure at the age of 78 in 1989.
Lucille Ball. I admire anyone who is so secure with themselves that they know it's okay to make themselves look silly. And boy, did this woman make herself look pretty darn crazy on more than on occasion without anyone ever mistaking her for anything less than gorgeous:)
