Southern Masked Weaver - Ploceus velatus. The brown eyes are the feature which distinguishes this weaver from the Lesser Masked Weaver. The black mask also does not extend across the top of the had. It colonises riverside trees on the savanna and grasslands. It is fascinating to watch these birds weave their nests as each weaver species has its own style of 'architecture' for its nest.
