ApPLe wReAtH~ I love making these. I 1st slice 1/4" slices, then poke a very small hole in the middle of the slices big enough for the thread/ribbon to go through. Then Dip apple slices in vanilla extract, then dip slices in mixture of apple pie spice mix (or use pumpkin pie spice mix). To the pie spice I add: a little ground cinnamon and a just a teenie tiny sprinkle of clove. place in lowest setting oven- mine is at 120F, for 2 hrs, turn over and bake another 2-3 hrs, till thoroughly dry.
2 small (or 1 large) chicken breasts cut into 1 inch cubes 1 cup broccoli florets 1 cup bell peppers, sliced or chopped (colors of choice) 1 small zucchini, sliced ½ cup tomatoes sliced into large chunks (or grape tomatoes) ½ cup onion, sliced or chopped 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 tablespoon italian seasoning *(see note) 1 teaspoon garlic powder or fresh minced garlic 1 teaspoon paprika (optional) salt and pepper to taste
Slow Cooker Poor Man's Stew. I remember calling this stone soup as a kid from a story about a poor man putting stones in water and everyone else in town helping ads veggies or meat so it wouldn't just be stones.
Pecan Pie Balls.......The yummiest part of a Pecan Pie with a little kick! I made these for Thanksgiving and several holiday parties. They were a huge hit with all. Especially, for my healthy "portion controlled" friends! They liked the fact that they could have one pie ball instead of being served one slice of pie and only eating a small portion of it.
