Recipe: Coconut Sorbet: Who doesn’t love a refreshing sorbet in this hot weather? Nothing says summer more to me than relaxing by the pool while indulging a yummy sorbet. Two of them are still hanging in there and are really enjoying it. One of these friends has been a bit down this week so this is my way of cheering her...

Taking a big leap – Since I started this blog I have always thought about the idea of becoming a life coach. I am all about living your life by following your passions and spending your days doing whatever makes you feel happy. So life coaching seemed like the logical next step for me. But I always had an excuse about why I shouldn’t do it yet. I didn’t have enough time, I still have my three year old to look after and the idea of starting my own business seems daunting. Isn’t...

Recipe: Pumpkin Pie Chia Pudding – A few months ago my friend made Sarah Wilson’s pumpkin pie, which recipe could be found in the first I Quit Sugar book. I had never tried the recipe because it didn’t really appeal to me. I just couldn’t get my head around using pumpkin for a dessert. However, when I tried it I was instantly won over to the concept. It was one of the most delicious deserts I had ever eaten. I couldn’t get enough of it. Since that time I have played around with...

Random Acts Of Kindness Challenge...Are You Up For It?: So I am going to put a challenge out there to those who would like to participate. I am calling it the Random Acts of Kindness Challenge. I think the world would be a better place if we were all kinder to one another. How do you feel when somebody does something nice to you? Great, I am guessing. Sometimes a simple gesture is all it takes to brighten someone’s whole day. It can turn your day around from a bad day to a great day in a...

Are you a doer or a procrastinator?: I think in life there are two types of people. Doers and Procrastinators. Doers like to live life to the fullest. They take risks. They set goals and work at achieving them. They might have lots of things on the go at once and are always coming up with new ideas and projects. They might fail at times but they usually get right up and keep trying. Their motto is normally “I can and I will”.   Procrastinators like to play it safe. They usually...

Day Eighteen: Get Your Hair Done – Today we are up to day eighteen of the Me Time For Mums Challenge. When was the last time you got your hair done? Since having kids I have taken the easy option of the famous “mum” ponytail and very rarely make the effort to do anything different to it. And my poor tired split ends and neglected locks are lucky if they see the hair dresser every six months. It is just something I don’t really put as a high priority. But I do know ...
