Mothers attending Child Survival Programs (CSP) in northern #India often come from backgrounds that precluded them from educational opportunities when they were children. Through the CSP they attend they get a second chance at an education that affords them the ability to learn basic #writing skills and learn simple calculations that can then be used to prevent their exploitation.
Puja, age 12, participates in a water rescue exercise during project activities at her Calcutta child development center. The city is permeated with bodies of water and high incidences of children drowning have prompted the center to include water rescue drills as part of their curriculum.
