Seaside Heights Boardwalk, before Hurricane Sandy. My summer fun as a teen--laying on a towel, listening to the radio, going on the rides, walking barefoot on the boardwalk, riding the waves, eating lemon yogurt for lunch, squeezing 10 people in our friend's station wagon. Ah, those were the days.
Springfield Armory National Historic Site, Springfield, Massachusetts, was the primary center for the manufacture of U.S. military firearms from 1777 until its closing in 1968. The adjacent museum showplaces many items including a Savage Arms repeating rifle, which my great grandfather Gelinas holds a design patent on!
