The Very Thought of You-Rosie Alison A young British girl is sent to live in a country house with other school kids prior to The Blitz, while mom stays in London and dad fights in the war. Great premise if the writer had stuck with it. Instead we were dulled with perspective from 8 different people. Lots of thoughts and remembrances, no action. I kept wondering when the book would get back to its core...it never did. Truly disappointing; should be rewritten as a short story.
