Dye fabric using stuff you already have: Soak fabric in warm water until completely wet. In a pot, add 4 c. water, 1 c. vinegar & 1 small bottle of food coloring. Mix colors to get more color options. After mixing, place on stove on high. Put fabric in pot & move it around to make sure it gets wet. Put a lid on it & boil for 5 min. Rinse fabric under cold water. Hang to dry.
Shibori is a Japanese term for methods of dyeing cloth by binding, stitching, folding, twisting, and compressing. In Japan, the earliest known example of cloth dyed with the shibori technique dates back to the 8th century where indigo was the main dye used. We were immediately inspired by
