Tree Rescue    The old tree was falling down and the Town Council in their wisdom decided to fell it. But the people of Bideford had different ideas and rose up in rebellion against their council. In the end a local sculptor came to the rescue and sculpted a helping hand to hold the tree up, and the Council held off with their plans to fell it.
