The wild West Coast of New Zealand provides some amazing scenery, and Motukiekie Beach is a prime example. As a bonus, at low tide brightly coloured orange starfish can be seen clinging to the rocks. This makes for great photography as this design shows. The photo was taken by photographer Christian Lim and is one of my new personal favourites in our range. Check out his other amazing work at https://500px.com/christianlim .
We have had some beautiful weather over the last few weeks in New Zealand. And I can't think of anywhere as good to be in this weather than the Bay of Island. This is our new design for region and is of the iconic Hole in the Rock. This beautiful image was taken by local photographer Ruth Lawton Photography . Maungakiekie or One Tree Hill in Auckland. This popular site in Auckland provided the name for the U2 Song, which was was written to pay tribute to Greg Carroll who was an New Zealand employee of the band. This song in turn was the inspiration for the name of the US teen drama, One Tree Hill. And now this world famous site has a place in our range of postcards!
The Steampunk Oamaru holds a collection of industrial steampunk Art. It's known for it's train that lights up at night, spits fire and billows smoke! This image is by photographer Graham Warman, who is new to the Pikitia Range. Check out his work at http://www.grahamwarman.co.nz/
We have just released twenty two new designs just in time for Christmas, including a range for East Otago. This is our chosen design from St Clair Beach in Dunedin. After getting soaking wet in the stormy sea, we ended up choosing a calmer image from the shoot which was taken just after the sun had popped down. The ten stop helped tame those waves and create the final serene image.
