Making a Noguchi inspired lantern lamp!
I’m back with the last episode of my Aisle Upcycle series and sometimes, you just gotta go with your most random ideas! I found this lamp base on the side of the road, and even though it was no longer working, I had other ideas. I’ve loved the sculptural and lighting work of artist Isamu Noguchi and have wanted to recreate something like this for our house for so long. But first I needed some nice lanterns I dropped by @bunnings and picked up some of their linen lanterns, they are soooo nice, and because the lamp I found was long longer working J also grabbed some some festoon lights. I simply attached the festoon lights to the central lamp pole and then stacked the lanterns on top, tying them with string to the top of the lamp base.
