It uses sophisticated composites and a highly efficient propulsion system to achieve the goal of personal flight, with many safety features including a ballistic parachute.

STARPATH, developed by ex-pat Kiwi, Hamish Scott, is installed by spraying a mix of ultraviolet particles onto a pathway and then sealing the surface. The path absorbs the day's light and emits a glow at night. His business Pro-Teq Surface owns the patents for Starpath.
Cortex is a completely breathable, waterproof and lightweight cast for broken limbs. It was designed by Jake Evill, a recent Media and Industrial design graduate from Victoria University of Wellington. The Cortex is this year's winning invention in the New Zealand leg of the James Dyson Award, a global product design competition.

Goodnature's A24 Rat + Stoat Trap. This is a self-triggering possum and stoat trap, powered by compressed CO2. The traps are multi-action, so they reset after each catch, and meet MAF animal welfare guidelines for a humane kill. No toxins are used, so there is no flow-on effects to other animals that might wander by, and the trap can easily be adopted in other countries with minimal red tape.
