New Lynn Post Office under construction at 3056 Great North Rd. 1967. To enable all postal operations to be brought back together under the same roof, this site was purchased from the New Lynn Borough Council in 1964. The two-storey 900 sq. m.brick Post Office was officially opened on 15 March 1968. The building was demolished in 1997 and a new building with prominent corner circular tower erected in its place.
