My wholefood is broccoli and more than that my kids love it too! Broccoli is rich in Vitamin C and fibre. It also contains lots of Vitamin A, iron, Vitamin K, B-complex vitamins, zinc, phosphorus and other goodies called phyto-nutrients. These are the compounds which help lower our risk of diabetes, some cancers, heart disease. We regularly eat it in homemade stir frys, using a small amount of Rice Bran oil, chicken, carrots, celery, basil, garlic, soy sauce and served on brown rice.
Drinking water at the correct time maximizes its effectiveness on the human body: 2 glasses in a.m. activates organs; 1 glass before shower helps prevent high blood pressure; 1 glass before bed helps prevent strokes and heart attacks. #EatInGoodHealth!
Nutrition is a huge part of everyones life. I personally enjoyed studying this in secondary school and am looking to possibly develop a career in it. Studying human nutrition not only will help me towards my own career, but will also benefit my own wellbeing and influence the choices i make towards food.
