It's fake bake time....POPSICLES!! | face | Happy Monday! Let try and make some face popsicles. | By The Celebration Co. | Hello everyone. How are y'all doing this morning? Happy Monday y'all. I hope you're having a great start to your week. Bun's been a little slow moving but that's alright. We'll get into the groove of things. Um how is everyone today? Y'all tell me how you're doing. Tell me how your weekend was. I hope you had a great weekend. I had a pretty good chill weekend. Um got a lot of thing done this weekend and also had some chill time. So, you know, that's always good. So, I hope that y'all had the same. Um we're going to do some fake fake today or I'm going to try like I am totally not a professional when it comes to fake baking but I think it's so much fun and I want to use some of the sprinkles that we have on our website. We have got a bunch of different polymer clay sprinkles on our website and I haven't used a lot of them and so we're going to use at least three or four different ones today. Um so I have today we're going to be using this one the surprise party mix which is so colorful and fun. We'll also use this one here which is called fruit cocktail and it just has all these fun little like citrus slices and then some watermelons. This one's called summer melon. And then we're also going to do some patriotic. So we're going to make a few different popsicles and we're going to use our sprinkles on the popsicles. Okay? So and I am using the glitz and glue foam clay today. Um that's what we're going to be using to make our popsicles. So when you hop on say hey. Let me know that you're watching. I am on YouTube I'm on Facebook today. Let's see who we have on. Hey Jackie. Jack two Jackie's. Always happens. Jackie Decado and Jackie Holt. Hey Debra. Hi Lori. Hey Doreen. Um hi Debbie. Hey Michelle and Joyce and Tina and Reyetta. Hey Christy. Hi Theresa. Hello Monica. Hey Renee. Um sorry Renee. I feel your pain. Hey Joy. Hi Nancy. Hi Dorothy. Hello Judith and Pam. Hey Exy. Hi Laura. Hi Judy and Sheryl and Patty and Melissa and Annie. Hey everyone. Hi Naomi. Hey Tammy. Hello y'all. Alright. I'm so glad to see you all. Um hi Judy. Thanks for following. Okay so I've never done this type of fake bake before so I don't know. We're just going to play with it and see what happens. Okay? Um so I have I'm going to grab some popsicles sticks, okay? And we're going to go ahead. Do I want to go ahead and paint my popsicle sticks? I think I might want to go ahead and paint my popsicle stick. Is that the size I want or do I want the bigger ones? Let's see. Let's make the popsicle and then we'll we'll decide. So I'm going to do three different ones. We're going to do a patriotic one as and then two summery ones, okay? So the patriotic one, I'm going to use the red foam play. So let's let's do that one first. Just feels a little bit dry on the top. Let's get rid of that. Okay. This is the glimpse and glue foam clay. You can get this on Amazon and I will post a link for y'all. Let me do that. Hi, Ann Barquette. I'm so glad you could catch me live today. Good morning, y'all. Hello, everyone. Hello to whoever's watching on YouTube. Make sure we get this closed back up. Alright, let me post a link really quick though for y'all for the glitz and glue foam clay. Check it here it is. Alright. Um let's grab the link. Okay. So here we go. So this is my referral link for the foam clay. And it's available in lots of different colors. She's got all kinds of colors of it and this stuff is really wonderful. Um you do have to knead it just a little bit when you first start. Not necessarily because it needs to be like soften. Um but it just changes the texture a little bit of the clay. Um so anyways you just kind of do this. I just kind of like pull it and then fold it over itself. Pull it and fold it. Is all you you. Okay. So then after we get it kneaded we're just going to roll this out. And I use a PVC pipe. But you can obviously use a fondant roller as well. I want this to be a little on the thick side. So I'm not going to roll it too flat. This does sometimes stick to my surface so hopefully it won't stick. I'm going to do like I would if I was doing pie dough and pick it up and make sure that it's not sticking. It is very similar to bows but if I'm being honest Jennifer I like this better. Um I think this is a little bit better quality. Alright so like I said I do want to keep it pretty thick. So I'm going to stop right there. And I'm going to use I'm going to try using my ruler for this. Um I don't have one of those big fondant things. So I'm going to try using this and see if this works. So we're just going to cut Yeah, there we go. Okay. So, I'm just kind of cutting it the width that I want my popsicle. Okay, just like that. Now, I'm going to cut the bottom so that it's straight Now, for this next part, I think what I'm going to do. Happy Monday. My weekend was good, Bonnie. Thank you for asking. I think what I'm going to do for the top So y'all if you're interested in fake baking or in the foam clay or any of that. Um Kristal from Glitz and Glue. She does have her own Facebook page is amazing at it. I watch her a lot and have learned a lot from her. So you can always you can always you know check her out for some help. Um in order to get the top shaped. I'm just going to use my fingers to do it. Um in order to shape it like a popsicle so I'm just going to use my fingers to kind of form that into a rounded shape on the top. Okay? Like that. Okay? So there's our popsicle. Now what we want to do is decorate this a little bit, okay? Cuz this would be a little plain. Let's figure out what size popsicles stick I want to do though. Okay, I think definitely this size will do good. So, I'm going to cut this. I don't know the right way to do this but I'm just going to go with my instincts. Yes, you can Tina Carey. Um she will be at our Celebration in the Bluegrass, our live event. She will be there teaching a class as well. So, if you're interested, definitely check her out. I'm going to cut or check out the Celebration of Bluegrass. I'm going to cut off about 2 inches Um because I don't want it to have to go too far in here. Um because then I just feel like I'm going to mess it up and it's just going to be all over the place. So Then we'll paint this and I think I'm going to paint it with blue and white stripes. Um so we'll get to that in a minute. Let's finish our popsicle. So what I'm thinking for this we can do a couple of things. We can take a bite off of it. Um and we can also do it's like some icing. Something that looks like icing on the top. So that's what I'm going to do today. I'm going to grab my clay. Let me just grab a little bit. Good morning, Katie. Okay. Alright. So, let's work this Um and we'll roll this out. Okay. So I'm just going to roll this out into a circle. I think I've got a little bit more than I need though. Let me see. Might be alright. No, I'm going to make it a little smaller. I'm going to make it a little bit smaller. Thank you Jackie for sprinkling y'all. Please sprinkle. I would love it if you would celebrate the video. Share it with all your friends and your families. Okay. Yeah, this is better. Now, this doesn't have to be perfectly round or anything like that because we're going to make it look even less round. So, there's a couple of ways you can do this. You can take a knife and just cut like a little blop Um but I find it hard to do that. I find it hard to cut it and remove the clay. So I just like to take my finger and just kind of push and pull like this. Um onto the clay and it will create that kind of scalloped look. So then you can see what we get. So this side becomes the back side. Um and then we just take this. Stick it on here. And you just kind of very gently press it down. Now the wet clay or the yeah I guess wet clay would be what you would call it. Um will stick to itself. So you are able to just you don't have to use any glue or anything like that to stick it down. Okay so then we end up with this. Which is adorable. So now What I want to do is we'll take some Mod Podge. You can also use tacky glue for this. Um but I don't have any tacky glues. So hey Jackie thank you for the stars. So we're going to use Mod Podge. Okay and I'm just going to cover, I'm going to paint the white portion with Mod Podge And then we're going to do our sprinkles. Our American sprinkles. So the sprinkles we're using are called Old Glory and you can get them on our website. Celebration CO. com. I see Mom is on so she'll probably post a link for y'all. All the sprinkles we're using today pretty much are on our website. There's a couple that I'm going to use that aren't on our website. Alright, so I'm just starting with the front. And let's grab our sprinkles. So these are the ones we're using. This is called Old Glory. We have three different styles of patriotic sprinkles. We have plenty in stock. They're all so cute. I love them all. But I went with this one. Alright. So I'm going to grab a plate. And then we'll just put our little on here. How cute is this? Alright, so then we'll just gently press to press them in I'm going to try to get the top two. Making a mess. Trying to be very gentle in holding the popsicle as well. Y'all ignore the image on the link. There is something wrong with our we just cannot. I don't know. Okay. So here's how it looks. So cute. I think I'm going to add some glitter as well. So let's grab Let me get this all picked up and then let me grab some glitter and I'm going to put glitter on the red part too so it kind of looks like it's frosted. Okay. Alright, so let's do What do I have? What I want to do? I'm going to try just the chunky one. So this is the crystal from Hobby Lobby. Let's try it and see how it looks. So, I'm just going right over the sprinkles to start. Alright then I'm going to paint and do this part down here too. So let's get some Mod Podge. And we'll go ahead and paint down here as well. Alright. There we go. Let me grab a piece of parchment paper. To do this with Okay. Here we go. Alright. So, Let's just get this glitter. I almost said the sprinkles on to the rest of the popsicle and once this dries, it'll look even better because the Mod Podge will dry. Alright, so here's how it looks right now. Okay, so we're going to let this dry. I'm going to set this aside and we will work on our stick and our other popsicles. Here we go. Alright. Let's do this. Do another one. Do I want to well yeah let's go ahead and do the other ones and then we'll do the popsicles sticks at the end. Um so we can just kind of clean all the stuff up. Alright, so let's get all this glitter off of here. Okay. So now we're going to do the pink. So this one is the hot pink. Oh yeah, I can see that Tammy. Alright. So, let's grab some of this. See here. Some of this feels a little dry. So let me just pull some of that off. Seems like it's just hard to make sure that none of it dries out. Usually it's just the top. Okay. Alright. So, we'll take this one. Oh you know what? I wanted to do red for the watermelon one too. Whoops. Um Oh well. So let's just need this. We'll just kind of squeeze and stretch, squeeze and stretch. And then we'll do the same thing. We want to make sure to do it thick. Um if you don't get it thick then it can curl up or kind of like it won't be lay nice and flat the way that you want it to lay. That's what Crystal says from Grits and Glue. So we're just going to roll this out. And I'm leaving it about half an inch or so thick I think I'm going to stop right here. I got a little too much clay. Okay, let's do this part right here. Alright. So, I'm just going to take my ruler. This is just a metal ruler from the Dollar Tree. Okay. We're just cutting out a rectangle. Off of cut a straight line off of three sides Okay? And then on the top because this one's a little bit different than that one. I'm going to go ahead and just cut again like that and then Oh really Nancy? I bet that's cute. So let's pick this up. Make sure it's not sticking to my surface because it is sticking to my surface. Which is Okay. So then what I'll do is use my fingers to just kind of form this. So even on this top I'm just going to push it with my fingers to form the top. And I may have to cut some of it off. We'll see. I'm thinking with this one, I'm going to do a bite out of it or I'm going to try. So, I'm just pushing against it to create that shape that we want. Like a popsicle Oh, yay, Lynn. I'm glad you like it. Okay. I think that'll do. Alright, so here's what it looks like. Let me see if I have a heart cookie cutter. I don't know if I do. Hang on a second because I'm thinking that'll work good for the bite. Um not seeing any cookie cutters that Okay, I must have taken them all downstairs. Oh, here they are. Okay, let's see. Okay, I do have a heart. Alright, let's see if we can make this work. I struggle real hard with cookie cutters so we may have to start over but let's see. So, we're just going to use this part of the heart, okay? And just go on the side Okay. Worked decently. I have to clean that up a little bit. Alright, so I'm just going to use my finger to just kind of press this Clean it up a little bit. Alright so there's our little bite mark. Hi, Cathy. I had a great weekend. Thank you for asking. I hope you had a great weekend too. Okay. So, I think I'm going to do the same thing with a little bit of frosting. Maybe I should have done that before I did the bite. Um but let's take I'm going to do a little bit less I think. Than I did the last time. So we're just going to use the white. Roll it out So then after you get a little bit rolled out, we're just going to take our thumb again and just kind of press and pull. Okay. So we get this. Now this is going to go onto our popsicle Just like that. Just fold this over and it will adhere to the wet clay. Okay. Alright, there we go. That looks cute. I think I'm going to see if I can't get little bit of this white cut out. Alright, like that. Okay? Then, we will do our sprinkles. I'm going to do two different ones. We're going to mix two different ones. So I'm using this one right here which is called fruit cocktail and then I'm going to use this one here which is called Surprise Party, okay? So, let's grab. Let me grab a bowl so I can mix this up. So we're going to do a little bit of each Okay. And then we'll do some of the surprise party. Some more of that. Good morning, Natalie. Okay and then I also have this little thing that I got for free at market. So I'm just going to stick some of that in there. It'll be fun and colorful as well. Okay so that's what that one looks like. Alright. So, we'll do the same thing. We're going to go ahead and I'm going to use my parchment Okay and we will do our Mod Podge just trying to decide if I want to do glitter or not. But we'll start up here with the frosting portion. Just the white part part is where we're going to put our sprinkles. Okay. Alright y'all. This is so much fun. I want to get it really good and covered. It's going to have sprinkles everywhere. Oh, have a great vacation. Can't say that I'm not jealous. Shoot there's a little random black piece. I don't want that black piece. Let's see if we can cover it up. Alright. So then I just kind of give it a press to make sure that the sprinkles are well adhered. Okay and then I want to remove whatever sprinkles got down on this portion. So I'm just going to be very gentle and try and just flake those off. Let's see. I may have to grab some tweezers. Which I don't have. It's okay. We're about to get it. Okay, there we go. Alright. Look how cute that is. Okay, I think I'm going to do Let's do glitter on the bottom portion. Hope I've made this thick enough. Or sprinkles in here. Alright. Now we're going to do the glitter just on this bottom portion. I don't think I'm going to do it on the top. And I think I'm going to do the fine glitter this time. We'll do the iridescent. Okay. There we go. Alright. So, we're going to do this one this time. This is the extra fine diamond from Hobby Lobby. Oh I did yeah I did put the link for the spice bottles. Yes. Okay. Here is that. Look how pretty that is. With that sparkle. Alright so we're going to set this one aside. I do have one more thing that I think I might want to add. To this one or at least want to try it. I don't know where these came from. Y'all there's stuff that I bought in a bunch of craft stuff that I bought from somebody so I don't really know where they came from. Um but whoops. I accidentally got a little orange slice in there. But I have these super cute little lemon slices. That I'm wondering about adding one of these to the top of this popsicle. How cute are those? So I'm thinking I'm going to just kind of stick this in into that frosting on the top. I think I'm going to make three Betty. So I want to do two or just one. I think we'll stick with one. Okay. Let me show that to y'all. Ain't that fun? That is so much fun. Okay. So one more. Got glitter all over everything. It's alright. Okay, so this one we're going to do the red again. And I just don't have a lot of colors. Um otherwise, I would probably choose, I might choose a different color or I might add green to it. I think green would be really fun to add to this one since we're going to do a watermelon one but Since I don't have it, we're going to go with just red. Thank you, Natalie. Alright. So, after we need it, we'll roll this out again. Make sure it's pretty thick. We don't want it to be super thin. Alright, so I'm going to stop right here. Okay and I'm going to use, I like this top side right here. So, I'm going to go this way with it. Alright. Grab our ruler again and we're just going to cut the edges. Cut the bottom. Alright. Now, So like some things you could do is if you had some green clay Um you could just do the green like we did the white and put it right on the top. Um would be really cute. But I don't have any green clay. So, we're just going to go with the white. Okay. I have never done it but I have heard that you can use some water as well to smooth your clay out. Um I've never done it so I don't know if that works or not. I think I want to try something though on this and I want to try to put like impressions in it. I don't know if it'll work or not. I'm trying to figure out if I've got something that I could use. Like I could use this but it's going to make it needs to almost be rounded on the end. So I'm trying to figure out if I have anything. I don't think I do. I think I'm just going to have to use my fingers. So, I'm going to use my index finger. It's really not quite long enough but and I'm just going to press gently into this. Like that. And I'll do the same thing on this side. So, I'm just pressing very gently and just kind of going back over it. Yeah, that worked. Let me show you. We are going to do a popsicle stick, Debbie. I'm just waiting till the end to do that. Okay. So, let's do some white again just because I don't know. That's what I know to do. There's probably a million other things that you could do but Like I said, I don't need green. So, my options are a little limited. So, we're going to add grab a little bit of white Okay. So just need that and we're going to roll this out again. Just like we did with the other two. This time, instead of putting it to the side, I'm going to put it right on the top, I think. Okay. So, after you get a little disc rolled out, again, we'll take our thumb and just pull. Push and pull. Just go all the way around. I start about halfway to the middle or not halfway to the middle about in the middle sorry okay so then this Oh I see Jackie. Um it might work but it might make too much of an impression because you're going to get like it's going to be flat on the sides. Does that make sense? Alright so this time I'm going to put this right on the top. Okay. So, that's what we have. Um then I'm thinking that I might have some black clay. We might do might do some Let me see if this one in here is any good. We might do some watermelon seeds. See how that will look. This clay might be dried out. I might need to open a new thing. This is Model Magic y'all. Um yeah, it's dry. Let me open a new thing. Model magic is nowhere near as good but I do have some black model magic. So, Alright. So, let's need this little bit. I don't know. What do y'all think? Or should I do is black the right color? I don't know. It seems super intense right now. I don't have yellow. Nobody. Alright. So here's what I've seen Crystal do. Which is she's from Glitz and Glue is she takes a little piece and just rolls it into a ball like this. Okay? Using the palm of her hand and her finger. Okay to roll it into a ball. And then she takes and just on one edge of it and just starts to kind of roll it to create a little seed. And then I'm just going to gently press it down a little bit. And let's put the seeds on the popsicle this over here so y'all can see it Um I'm not sure, Marilyn. I know I I don't know if you can color it or not, honestly. Yeah, that's a good idea, Timmy. We'll paint the popsicles stick green. So, I'm just going to do a few. Let's do one more. Believe it or not, I don't have green glitter either. So, we're going to make it work. Okay, let's do one more right there in the middle I think. I don't like that one there but oh well. Alright. So what do y'all think? Does that look stupid? Y'all tell me. I don't know. I'm thinking I don't like this one here but let's see if I can remove it. There we go. Alright, I think that's better. Okay. So, then, we'll do the top. Okay, we're going to put our what I do with my parchment paper y'all? Did I throw it away? It's way over here. Alright, so we'll do our watermelon sprinkles on the top. Okay so we have these right here which is called Summer Melon. Um these are also on our website. Can find them there. Alright. So, let's do some Mod Podge on the white portion. Oh, that sounds great, Jeannie. I hope you enjoy your morning. Okay. There we go. So we'll take our melon sprinkles. Okay. Put these on the top. So these have like round slices of watermelon, triangle slices of watermelon, and then it also has little green like the long skinny ones. So just press a bunch of those in there. And I'm not going to do glitter on this one I don't think. Just kind of bounce off the excess and kind of press them into the clay. Alright y'all. Let me show ya. How this looks. I think it's going to be cute. Okay, so we're not going to do glitter on that one. Alright, let's do our popsicle sticks and we're almost done. So for our popsicles sticks I did cut. I'm using just regular popsicles sticks. Okay. These are the tongue depressor size. Um and I cut them down about two inches or so. Okay? Just using my scissors. Okay. There we go. And we'll paint these So, I'm going to do Got a random green sprinkle there. Alright. So we're going to do the one for the patriotic. I'm going to paint it white and then I'm going to paint it with blue stripes. Okay so let's start with some white. I'm just going to use a little foam pouncer. And I'm not going to worry so much about the very top because that portion is going to be inside the popsicle just doing this. Okay. So there's the white. Then I think I'm going to do white for this one as well. For the pink one. Um I have had this matte for a while so I'm not really sure where it came from. I'm sure you can get it at any craft store, Amazon, places like that. Okay. Then, for the watermelon one, we'll do green. Let me see if I have some green that'll work. Slim Pickens on the green over here. I'm going to use this one. It's called Green Tree and it's by Deco Art. Debbie, I have a link to fabric scissors on my on my I think I have one on my blog post for fist scars. That's what I usually use for fabric scissors. That's the brand I use. Alright, this is going to be cute. Oh, I painted it the wrong way. Alright, we'll just go and do the whole thing. Let's dry these and then I'm going to do the blue stripes. Onto the patriotic one and I'm going to use apple barrel blue kazoo. Um pinking shears is the same Natalie. I also use Fisgars. These are the pink and shirt. I think I also have a link for those as well. Um but these are the pinking shears that I am using. And these are Fiscar's brand. Yep. Okay. So let's do some stripes. We're going to take our blue kazoo. And I'm just going to use, I'm just going to freehand the stripes. So, let me find a good brush here. The one I want. I think I want this one. Um Cathy, they are made of clay, foam clay, the glitz and glue foam clay. So, I'm just going to take and just literally just paint some stripes on here, okay? This does not have to be perfect. I'll probably have to do a second coat. Okay. So, there we go. I'm going to dry it and then do one more coat. Debbie, you can display em many ways. You can use these to go on wreaths. You can use em in a teared tray. You can put em on like a play setting which is a lot of fun. You can put em on, you can use em as ornaments and put em on Christmas trees. You put several of them together and make a cute little sign. The great thing about them is they're super lightweight especially after they dry. I feel like they even get even lighter as they dry. Um and so they're great to put on door hangers and wreaths and things like that too. Alright, so I'm just going to do a second coat here. So it's a little bit more opaque blue Alright. Let's put our sticks on and these are basically done. Now, you could also add bows to them as well. You could make the bows with the clay or you could add bows with ribbon which is really cute too. Okay. So let's start with our green one because I know it's dry. Let's see how this works. Hopefully it works. Alright so I'm just going to take my green popsicles stick. I think what I'm going to do let me see. I don't know if this will work or not but thinking about just making a little bit of a hole. Using my knife. Kinda cutting a little bit of an incision down there in the bottom. And then Got some green paint on the back. Okay. So then we'll just stick this in. And actually I need to use a little bit of super glue I think. Hard to keep it in there. So, we'll take a little bit of our Gorilla Super Glue and just put it in here in that little incision we made. Alright. Then, very carefully, I'm just going to try and get it in there. Okay. Alright, there is our watermelon one. So cute. Super cute. Alright, let's do our pink. Alright. So, again, just make a little incision. And I'm just going to start the popsicle stick. See if I can create a little bit. Nope, that didn't work. Alright. Did this again. Little bit of super glue. Hi, Donna. Alright. Then, laying it flat and I'm just barely pressing down here at the bottom to make sure it doesn't come through. Okay. Alright, there is our pink one. And then we'll do our patriotic one. So same thing. We'll just start by making a little bit of a slit. And some super glue. Alright. Stick our popsicles stick in here. Okay. Y'all this is so cute. Alright, here they are. So here's our patriotic one. And then our watermelon. And then this is the pink one with the fruit cocktail stuff. So stinking cute. They turned out so good. So to let them dry you just want to leave them flat and just let them dry. I would let them dry for at least twenty-four hours. Um And that's all there is to it y'all. So all the sprinkles that we used today you can find those on our website The Celebration CO. com. Um and the clay. I have posted a link for that. It's also I think that okay let me share let me share a link for y'all. Hang on just a second. Um let me share a link to my Amazon storefront that has the links for the clay. As well as other things that y'all have asked for today. So hang on just a second and let me grab it. So Kayla's favorite craft tools and supplies. Um I'm going to grab this link right here and post it in the comments and so the link or what's on that link is links to my favorite scissors to the clay all kinds of different things okay all kinds of different things that you all ask me about all the time you can find that there's signs and paper the clay mod podge all kinds of off, okay? Um all those things are on that link that I just shared with y'all so you can find all that stuff there. Um so, Amanda I did hear her talking about that she's going to start shipping to Canada pretty soon. I did hear her talking about that. I didn't catch all the details but I did hear her say something about that. So Just an option. Um but did you try Amanda? Did you try Etsy? Because I think she does have international shipping on Etsy. Um but I don't know this for sure but I think so. So y'all have an awesome awesome day. I love you guys so much. Thanks for hanging out with me and I'll see y'all tomorrow. Bye everybody.
