Choirs Aotearoa New Zealand's purpose is to create, nurture and promote vocal excellence in choral singing. Their objective is to sustain and promote two complementary but distinct choirs. An internationally renowned professional choir - Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir and a youth choir which inspires and develops New Zealand extraordinary young talent, the nationally selected New Zealand Youth Choir.

The NZ Secondary Schools Symphony Orchestra (NZSSSO) is an out growth of the National Secondary Schools Orchestral Course. Since 1985 the NZSSSO course has been run by the Christchurch Itinerant teachers of Music (an attached unit to Hagley Community College), where some of New Zealand’s top secondary school orchestral instrumentalists are selected by audition, to represent their school and to learn what it is to play in a full symphony orchestra.

BLENNZ Homai Campus Music School is a creative approach to music education for students who are Blind or have Low Vision. Many of the musical opportunities that are available in the community are designed with a sighted student in mind, and are therefore often unable to meet the needs of our students. Our programme is specifically designed for young people who are Blind or have Low Vision.

Strum, Strike and Blow is an exciting new amalgamation of the ChCh Marimba Festival and ChCh Uke Festival Fest which features over 800 students playing marimbas, ukuleles and recorders in the CBS Arena. Hosted by the ChCh Civic Music Council in collaboration with Music Education Canturbury.
