Honeycomb Quilt: My mother made hundreds of quilts in her lifetime. I am the proud owner of the honeycomb quilt she made when she was 15. I’ve always thought I would honor her by making one myself, but the six fussy 1/8″ seams around each little hexagon aren’t exacting enough for me. The hexagons pucker and frustrate me. When I came across a turn-of-the-century honeycomb quilt using the above technique, I knew I’d come home.
