UNIT: White Horse Cavalry 白馬義從
Typical armor of a Han dynasty soldier, (both Western and Eastern Han.) Lamellar armor with flexible scaled paudrons and faulds. These types of troopers would have served as either infantry or cavalry. As with all Han troops, and Chinese troops throughout Chinese history, they were armed with a variety of weapons, including a long sword, a spear, as well as bow and quiver. This soldier wore a distinctive archer's bracer.

Photographs of Manchu and Chinese archers | Fe Doro
This photo shows a Manchu archer grasping his arrow behind the head with the index finger of the bow hand, while he strokes the feathers on his way to the nock. By feeling the feathers, he knows where the nock is so he can align it to the string without looking. Judging from the round dragon patches on his robe, this archer is of a high noble rank. Manchu nobility was often well trained in their classical fighting arts because they were supposed to serve as an example, circa 1880s to 1890s.
