Art Rocks!: Grade 1: Monet Bridge

: Grade Monet Bridge We did use salt.you can see the effect that it has on the watercolors. Oil pastel down first, watercolor to fill up the background. Sprinkle salt on top! Rub salt away once the paint has dried and enjoy :-)

Kindergarten students learned about Claude Monet's art and the beautiful gardens he created around his home in France. Students used oil pastel to draw the bridge across Monet's pond and then used sponges to add the greenery. They used their fingers to add the colorful flowers on top of the lily pads.

KUMARA BROWNIES

These brownies are to die for! Light, moist and far too easy to devour! Makes a tin of brownies Ingredients 1 medium/large kumara 3 eggs cup melted coconut oil (or melted butter).

You can make these reuseable sandwich wraps, and even recycle a few plastic shopping bags while you're at it! Love.

Awesome tutorial on making reusable sandwich wraps with fused plastic grocery bags, fabric and velcro - I like the idea of a sandwich wrap. It's so hard to get cut sandwiches in bags! (and sandwiches always taste better in triangles :)
