All of McMillan’s songs burn with a kind of honesty that usually seems to evade a lot of songwriters. “On this side of eternity, we’re going to have tragedy,” McMillan says. “A lot of times in church we don’t want to talk about those kinds of things because it’s uncomfortable, but there are so many people in church who need to have that dialogue with God that I had." Paper Route have now seen fit to go for broke on the possibility that epic earnestness, lyrical depth, and poetic heft can all coincide within one ridiculously catchy song collection primarily preoccupied with—wait for it–tragedy, disappointment, and loss. Behold The Peace of Wild Things. Paper Route | #Parachute2014
#Parachute2014 - I'm looking forward to seeing a new favorite band! Every Parachute festival I have high expectations of a great performance by a long time favorite band but instead end up being blow away by a band I've never heard of before so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and finding a new best band ever.... I have high expectations of Aaron Gillespie with the Parachute Band!!! And Gungor!!!
