Somehow having no qualms with the German people, as according to Wilson they were victims of their governments, was translated into the Treaty of Versailles by Wilson & the rest of his League of Nations as economically crushing (nothing like forcing 20 billion gold marks to be coughed up between friends) & humiliating them to the pre-Dr. Phil point of the Germans not even being given a seat at the table during the treaty’s signing. It’s a good thing that did not have any negative repercussions. Treaty of Versailles - "The Push". Allies helping the Germans?
6.28.1919 - The Treaty of Versailles was one of the peace treaties at the end of WWI. It ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. It was signed five years after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The other Central Powers on the German side of World War I were dealt with in separate treaties. Although the armistice signed on 11 November 1918, ended the actual fighting, it took six months of negotiations at the Paris Peace Conference to conclude the peace treaty.
